Below is a great photo of the group from the picnic given in my honor by Vanna Rapeti, Director South Bay FY/NAFE Network and assisted by Alina Estrada, Director, Beverly Hills FY . The event was held at Trump Golf Course picnic area overlooking the Ocean in Pacific Palisades with over 40 in attendance.

It was such a beautiful day, even though in the morning it rained and gave the hostesses a little scare but it cleared up and the skies were beautiful and the water a beautiful blue and such a sight to see.

We had wonderful foods and played games and just had a fantastic afternoon especially because of all the wonderful people who attended, I was totally honored it was a day I will long remember, especially the great food and FUN everyone had and also the wonderful kind words about me that was shared by all and how I had impacted and touched their lives.Wow it was all I could do to hold back the tears as I give everyone from my heart and seeing everyones success is enough of a gift for me, but it was such an awesome day and one that I will cherish forever.

NAFE/For You members showed up at the 59th Prime Time Emmy Awards at the Shrine Auditorium this past Sunday and had a great time and all got to sit next to some pretty dynamic television stars. The entertainment of the Jersey Boys and Tony Bennett was fantastic.

Before leaving for the Shrine all the 315 Seat Fillers had to meet at the Pickwick Hotel and Gardens at 11:00 am where the head of the Seat Fillers for the Emmy's and Oscars, John Borja, gave us a little party with lunch and even brought in a band to entertain us.

It was great,as we got to meet new people and network, as well as reconnect with others we have met over the years of doing this. For Fannie, Gisella and Robbie this was our 8th year and for Natasha her Second Year and for Sue and Tamara their first year.

Each year NAFE has been represented at this event and at the Creative Emmy's and the Oscars as well. We always try and get more people to apply so they can get in, in fact a week before we had others at the Creative Emmy's/ Showing up at that event was June Davidson, Director of Pasadena For You/NAFE network Sheila Long and her husband from Corona For You/NAFE network, Ernestine Branch past San Bernardino For You/NAFE Director Fannie, Gisella, and we were all amazed how far some of the seat fillers come from to be seat fillers, we met two gals from NJ, some people from NY, Canada, Wisconsin, Iowa, NM and other parts of the country and one gal from Dallas said this was her 17th year she flew in. I love doing it but not sure if I lived far I would spend the money to fly in for it, especially since I never watch TV and really have no clue who most of the stars are. It's pretty funny when Fannie and I are at the Oscars as we both sometimes have no clue who everyone is and are always glad when someone is near us that knows everyone. We "SHOW UP" because it's fun and we meet others as well.

But "SHOWING UP" is fun and you never know what might happen. Showing Up to me is "like a treasure map, you never know what the treasure will be." Last year at the Oscars I was in the background when they were taking all the stars photos of their gowns and my picture in the background ended up in People and Star magazine and the year before at the Oscars Fannie got her Boa in People Magazine. We have met wonderful people and always had a great time and also have recruited new NAFE/For You members.

Being a seat filler you sit right with the stars and many times you might even end up right in the front row, this year we all got to sit by several amazing television stars, and because we sit where the stars do, we all had fantastic seats to see what was happening. This year also we did not have to move, as much, but the good thing, every time you move you are next to someone else who is a star.

We all always love dressing up, so being a Seat Filler allows you to do that as well. It also gives us permission to buy gowns so we can be ready if we get called, otherwise I am sure I would not own any gowns.

So lets see what next event we can "SHOW UP" at !

The photo below was taken in the Garden of the Pickwick before we departed for the Emmy's.

Susan McDougal in White, Robbie in blue, then Heather McCartney (Paul McCartney's Wife) and Jackie Kallen...

Meg Ryan is making a movie "Against the Ropes" coming out in August about Jackie Kallen's life. She is the first women to be a Boxing Manager and has had four champion boxers. She is a super women, I am having lunch with her in Beverly Hills in two weeks as she was so awesome wanted to learn more about her.

I had the opportunity to sit at the table with all three and they were just great individuals to talk to, their presentations were terrific, all have important messages to share and I was glad I had the opportunity to get to know them on a personal level.

They are great presenters for any conference. Susan McDougal the women who went to Prison because of Whitewater, had the whole audience of almost 1,000 women in tears with her story, and the movie Heather showed of her work with amputees was terrific. I learned so much about her that I did not know. She was a women of her own right long before she met and married Paul McCartney. She has achieved a lot in her life and experienced a lot, her story is incredible.
